Gemperle Farms at Back to School Night …. Celebrating an Agriculture Science Focus at Cunningham Elementary School
PEPA President and Turlock resident Mike Gemperle manned a “back to school” night table top welcoming parents and students to the 2017-2018 school year at Cunningham Elementary School in Turlock, CA.
Mike gave away American Egg Board materials including fluorescent green “Incredible Egg” (what a great logo) pencils, along with Egg Readers and easy omelet recipe pamphlets. Several farming entities participated at the event marking the launch of the school’s focus on Agriculture Science.
Cunningham Elementary school is in the same neighborhood as the Gemperle Family Farm’s first egg farm established in 1951. While a lot has changed over the past sixty-six years the community is surrounded by agriculture and the schools focus on an agriculture science is a great fit. (1)
