About the Gemperle Farms College Scholarship Program and the Application Process
The Gemperle Farms College Scholarship program was first established in 2016. Through this program, we continue our family legacy of supporting education in Stanislaus County. The program is administered through the Stanislaus Community Foundation and was established to help fund higher education specifically for the children and grandchildren of Gemperle Family Farms employees. Our belief is that “Helping our employees send their kids to college is one of the greatest gifts of gratitude we can give to those that have helped make our company successful”, stated Steve Gemperle when the fund was first established.
How much is the Gemperle Farms College Scholarship and How can it be Used?
The current scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $3,000 for one year. Nineteen scholarships have been awarded since 2016 and have helped pay for tuition, institutional fees, books, and school supplies. The scholarship will be issued over the course of one academic year. Students may apply for a renewal grant for up to four years, however they must reapply each year to be sure they still meet the eligibility requirements.
