What is The Hashtag #PreserveNatureDonations?
The hashtag #PreserveNatureDonations represents an environmental social movement with the goal to engage businesses and their customers in environmental conversation and to inspire them to donate to worldwide environmental nonprofit projects. We believe that conversation brings inspiration, action and change. If every business and individual does at least a small part in supporting the awe-inspiring nonprofits working to restore and protect nature, change will happen.
The movement was started by several members of the Gemperle Family after reading the dire conclusions of the report from the United Nations, the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) released in May 2019.
Specifically, as stated by the United Nations report, “The health of ecosystems on which we and all other species depend is deteriorating more rapidly than ever. We are eroding the very foundations of our economies, livelihoods, food security, health and quality of life worldwide.
- Current global response is insufficient;
- ‘Transformative changes’ is needed to restore and Protect nature;
- Opposition from vested interests can be overcome for public good;
- 1,000,000 species are threatened with extinction.”
Let’s all work together to become the conversation that leads to change. Let’s become the inspiration for all those around us to support the science-based research and the organizations working to solve the Earth’s problems … they need our help!
Social media is a perfect platform to create the web of change. Simply use the hashtag #PreserveNatureDonations in your social media. Start a conversation concerning the nonprofit organizations you are supporting. Let the world know about their important environmental projects and why you are supporting them. Encourage others to join you in the challenge!
