We are proud to announce the 2018 college scholarship recipients of the Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship program. The scholarships are awarded through the Stanislaus Community Foundation in a competitive application process. Four outstanding students received at total of $4000 in scholarships to be used in the 2018-19 academic year.

Daisy Santana $1000 (3rd year recipient)  Currently attends CSU Stanislaus as a Business major. Daisy is the daughter of Gemperle Family Farms employee Juan Santana.

Julia Correa – $1000. (2nd year recipient) Attends CSU Stanislaus and is majoring in Criminal Justice.  Julia’s parents Humberto and Elia Correa have worked at Gemperle Family Farms for approximately 10 years.

Janelly Zarco $1000. (2nd year recipient). Janelly attends CSU and is a Kinesiology major. She is the daughter of Heriberto L. Zarco. Heriberto has works at Gemperle Farms for 27 years.

Lissandra Medina $1000. Currently attends Mendocino College and is an Education major. She is the daughter of  Luis Manuel Medina.

The Gemperle Family congratulates  these outstanding students and wishes them success in their education and career choices.

About the Gemperle Farms Scholarship Fund
The Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund is available to the children and grandchildren of current employees who have been employed for a minimum of three continuous years. The applicant must attend an accredited two or four-year college or university, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a continuous, full-time enrollment of at least 12 units per semester. Finalists are all selected by the Stanislaus Community Foundation selection committee and were selected based on financial need, academic merit and personal statement. The scholarship can be used towards education expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books and school supplies. In 2018, the scholarship application process opened on January 1  and closed on March 9.
