We are proud to introduce the 2021 Gemperle Family Farms scholarship recipients. Six outstanding students will receive a total of $6000 in scholarships to be used in the 2021-22 academic year. The scholarships are awarded through the Stanislaus Community Foundation in a competitive application process.

 Belen Cruz – $1000. (1st-year recipient) Belen studies sociology at the University of California, Merced. Her father Teodocio has worked with the Gemperle Family Farms for 17 years.

Peter Wagner $1000. (1st-year recipient). Peter will study Civil Engineering at Sacramento State University. His dad, Phil has worked at Gemperle Family Farms for 6 years.

Jennifer Cortes – $1000 (1st Year recipient). Jennifer studies Nursing at CSU Stanislaus. Her mother Sandra has worked at Gemperle Farms for 15 years.

Michael Ramirez – $1000 (3rd-year recipient/renewal). Michael attended MJC in 2020 and took general education to enter an engineering program. His father Mauricia, has worked for Gemperle Family Farms for approximately 12 years.

Jose Monge- $1000 (1st-year recipient in 2020 – deferred until 2021) Jose plans to attend CSU Stanislaus and will major in Engineering. His father, Jose has been employed at Gemperle Family Farms for 20 years.

Rosie Madrigal – $1000 (1st-year recipient in 2021 – deferred until 2021). Rosie plans to complete her teaching credentials at CSU Stanislaus. Her mother Amalia works at Gemperle Family Farms.

The Gemperle Family congratulates these outstanding students and wishes them success in their education and career choices. We would also like to acknowledge and congratulate our past scholarship recipient Janelly Zarco who has completed her 4th year at CSU Stanislaus. About the Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund
The Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund is available to the children and grandchildren of current employees who have been employed for a minimum of three continuous years. The applicant must attend an accredited two or four-year college or university, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and maintain continuous, full-time enrollment of at least 12 units per semester. Finalists are all selected by the Stanislaus Community Foundation selection committee and were selected based on financial need, academic merit, and personal statement. The scholarship can be used towards education expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books, and school supplies. The scholarship application process typically opens in January and closes in the middle of March.

The scholarship is between $1,000-3000 per year and can be renewed for up to 4 years. The scholarship amount is dependent on the number of applications received.
