1st year 2020 Gemperle Farms Scholarship Recipient – Erik Zarco and Family

The Gemperle Farms College Scholarship program was first established in 2015 to continue our family’s legacy of supporting education in Stanislaus County. The program is administered through the Stanislaus Community Foundation and was established to help fund higher education specifically for the children and grandchildren of Gemperle Family Farms employees. We believe that…..
“Helping our employees send their kids to college is one of the greatest gifts of gratitude we can give to those that have helped make our company successful.”

How Much is the Gemperle Farms College Scholarship and How Can it Be Used?
The current scholarship ranges from $1,000 to $3,000 for one year. Twenty-eight scholarships have been awarded since 2016 and have helped pay for tuition, institutional fees, books, and school supplies. The scholarship will be issued over the course of one academic year and may be renewed for up to 4 years as long as the student still meets the scholarship requirement.

If you are a renewing scholarship recipient you should have received a survey from the Stanislaus Community Foundation for renewal screening. Make sure you return the survey to extend your scholarship beyond the first year. Renewal applicants do not need to go through the formal application process.

Who Chooses the Scholarship Recipients?
Gemperle Family Farms does not personally choose the scholarship recipients.
