Congratulations to the 2023 Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Recipients
We are proud to introduce the 2023 Gemperle Family Farms scholarship recipients. Six outstanding students will receive a total of $6000 in scholarships to be used in the 2023-24 academic year. Perla Chavez-Macias, Xittlaly Ramirez and MaryJane Ramirez are our new 2023 scholarship recipients and Peter Wagner, Jennifer Cortes, and Janet Cisneros scholarship are renewal recipients. The scholarships are awarded through the Stanislaus Community Foundation in a competitive application process. Since 2016 over $44,000 of scholarships have been awarded to the children of Gemperle Family Farms employees.
2023 Gemperle Farms Scholarship Recipients
Tittlaly Ramizez – $1000 (1st-year recipient). She will attend Modesto Jr. College and study Child/Human Development. Tittalady graduated from Turlock High School.
Perla Chavez-Macias – $1000 (1st-year recipient). She will attend Merced College to study Business. Perla graduated from Buhach Colony High School.
MaryJane Ramirez – $1000 (1st-year recipient). She will attend CSUS to study Liberal studies with an emphasis on Cross-culture biliteracy. Her father Mauricio has worked at Gemperle Family Farms for over 15 years.
Janet Cisneros – $1000 (2nd-year recipient) Janet is currently attending Modesto Junior College She plans to transfer to California State University Stanislaus to study Nursing. Jannet would like to be a Neonatal Nurse. Her Father Juan has worked in the Gemperle Family Farms Almond division for over 20 years.
Peter Wagner – $1000. (3rd-year recipient- renewal candidate). Peter will study Civil Engineering at Sacramento State University. His dad, Phil has worked at Gemperle Family Farms for 8 years.
Jennifer Cortes – $1000 (3rd-year recipient-renewal candidate). Jennifer studies Exercise Science at CSU Stanislaus. Her mother Sandra has worked at Gemperle Farms for 16 years.

Additionally, we would like to congratulate Belen Cruz on her graduation in 2023 from the University of California, Merced with a degree in Sociology. Her father Teodocio has worked with the Gemperle Family Farms for over 19 years.

About the Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund
The Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund is available to the children and grandchildren of current employees who have been employed for a minimum of three continuous years. However, the applicant must attend an accredited two or four-year college or university, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and maintain continuous, full-time enrollment of at least 12 units per semester. Finalists are all selected by the Stanislaus Community Foundation selection committee and were selected based on financial need, academic merit, and personal statement. The scholarship can be used towards education expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books, and school supplies. The application process typically opens in January and closes in the middle of March.
The scholarship is between $1,000-3000 per year and can be renewed for up to 4 years and the dollar amount is dependent on the number of applications received.
