Congratulations to the 2020 Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Recipients

We are proud to introduce the 2020 Gemperle Family Farms scholarship recipients. Six outstanding students received at total of $6000 in scholarships to be used in the 2020-21 academic year. The scholarships are awarded through the Stanislaus Community Foundation in a competitive application process.

 

 Julia Correa – $1000. (4th year recipient) Attends CSU Stanislaus and is majoring in Criminal Justice.  Julia’s parents Humberto and Elia Correa have worked at Gemperle Family Farms for approximately 12 years.

Janelly Zarco $1000. (4th year recipient). Janelly attends CSU and is a Kinesiology major. She is the daughter of Heriberto L. Zarco. Heriberto has works at Gemperle Farms for 28 years.

Michael Ramirez – $1000 (2nd year recipient). Michael will attend MJC to study Engineering. His father Mauricia Ramirez has worked for Gemperle Family Farms for approximately 11 years.

Erick Zarco – $1000 (1st year recipient) Erik will attend Modesto Junior College and is majoring in Automotive Technology. Erik is Janelly Zarco’s sister.

Rosie Madrigal – $1000 (1st year recipient) Rosie currently attends CSU Stanislaus and is majoring in Education.  Her mother Amalia Madrigal is employed at Gemperle Family Farms.

Jose Monge- $1000 (1st year recipient) Jose will attend CSU Stanislaus and will major in Engineering. He is the son of Jose L Monge Valdovinos who has been employed at Gemperle Family Farms for 19 years. Jose is  also employed at the farm.

The Gemperle Family congratulates  these outstanding students and wishes them success in their education and career choices. We would also like to acknowledge and congratulate our past scholarship recipients Daisy Santa and Deysi Ramirez who have/will graduate from CSU Stanislaus in the 2019-2020 academic year. Way to go!

About the Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund
The Gemperle Family Farms Scholarship Fund is available to the children and grandchildren of current employees who have been employed for a minimum of three continuous years. The applicant must attend an accredited two or four-year college or university, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a continuous, full-time enrollment of at least 12 units per semester. Finalists are all selected by the Stanislaus Community Foundation selection committee and were selected based on financial need, academic merit and personal statement. The scholarship can be used towards education expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books and school supplies. The scholarship application process typically opens in January and closes the middle of March.
